Head Coach | Samantha Spieler

Spieler is in her fifth season as the head coach of the HSU Spurs.

She came to HSU from Wayland Baptist where she was the head cheer and dance coach from 2014-2020. She also taught dance at Amarillo ISD.was the studio director at the Lone Star Dance Academy in Plainview and a dance teacher at the Lone Star Dance Academy in Plainview.

Spieler was on the Blinn College Competitive Dance team and was also a dancer in the outdoor musical TEXAS (Palo Duro Canyon). 

A native of Copperas Cove, Texas, she has a bachelor’s degree in dance from West Texas A&M. She earned a master’s degree in Sports Management and Administration from Wayland Baptist.
